About Kayla

Kayla’s path to counseling didn’t begin in a traditional way. She initially pursued a degree in physical education, inspired by a lifelong interest in health, movement, and physical wellbeing. During her internship, she realized the structure of the school system wasn’t where she felt most called to serve.

She then spent time overseas in missionary settings, which deepened her understanding of people, culture, and the complexities individuals carry—experiences that shaped her future work.

Encouraged by others who recognized her natural ability to listen and support, Kayla pursued a Master’s degree in counseling, discovering that the work felt like the place she was meant to be. Alongside her counseling training, she earned certifications in personal training and nutrition, combining her passion for physical health with clinical expertise.

After having her first child, she realized how much support women need during pregnancy and postpartum, inspiring her to earn a pre- and post-natal coaching certification through Girls Gone Strong.

Her therapeutic approach integrates existential, somatic, IFS, and DBT techniques, allowing her to help clients navigate complex emotional, relational, and behavioral patterns. She is also certified in gambling disorder treatment (PCDGC), supporting individuals and families affected by gambling challenges.

Today, Kayla combines mental health counseling, wellness coaching, prenatal and postnatal support, and addiction specialty into a holistic, grounded, and tailored approach that helps clients build clarity, confidence, and lasting growth.
